ESNA Stall at Taylor Square Farmers market

ESNA attended the Farmers Market at Taylor Square on Saturday with a stall selling Honey.

Despite the poor weather at the beginning of the day the Markets were a great success and we will be continuing our support for the weeks to come as the market grows.

Its a great opportunity to promote our association and of course its a great fundraiser.

A big thank you to long term residents and activists, George and Charis Schwartz, who so generously donate their honey.

Update from Sydney Council on Late Night Trading Research Project

Update from Sydney Council on Late Night Trading ResearchProject

In June and July 2009, Council publicly exhibited the findings of its Late Night Trading Research Project.

A report is being tabled at the Central Sydney Planning Committee (CSPC) meeting on 11 March 2010 that outlines the outcomes of this exhibition and how Council is responding to the recommendations of the research.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers of the Sydney Town Hall. You can get to the Council Chambers by entering the Town Hall from George Street and go up the Grand Staircase located to the right-hand-side of the entry foyer, or take the birdcage lift, to Level 1. An accessible entry is available from Druitt Street with lift access to Level 1.

A copy of the agenda and report are available in both hard copy (from Council's One Stop Shop and Neighbourhood Service Centres) and on Council’s website at: http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/Council/MeetingsAndCommittees/2010/CSPC/110310.asp For locations and opening hours of Council's Service Centres see: http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/Council/CouncilLocations/default.asp

Each person will be limited to 3 minutes. The Chair may limit the number of speakers to 3 for each agenda item. Primo Italiano

Well what a busy day, ESNA was given a stand at Primo Italiano this year, rather than have us sell our goods from Veronica's front veranda. We had for sale Pure Local Honey and a great selection of second hand books. Our Community garden and Parking Patrol petitions were also on display and quite popular.

Thanks to all those that assisted on the stand and supplied books and of course a big thank you to George and Charis for once again donating honey.
